ARTIST BIO
Chancellor Joyer (b. 2001) hails originally from the outskirts of Tampa Bay, FL, and is now based part-time in Providence, RI where he is currently attending Rhode Island School of Design, expecting to graduate in 2024 with a BFA in Illustration. His current works deal with themes and subjects pertaining to mental illness, the accompanying stigmatization of it, sexuality, and identity, providing representation for narratives/experiences of those who have been stripped of the opportunities to do so. And attempting to grasp and comprehend the ephemeral quality of life, learning how to accept and cope with our mortality as one of the only things promised to us in life.
